Music for healing with Tibetan Bells

You can also use this healing music for deep relaxation and meditation.
In fact the borders between these categories are floating. Healing is relaxation is meditation.

As mentioned on the welcome page the body is quite capable of healing itself. For this spontaneous and automatic healing to take place we first of all need room to relax.

The page with the Practical Instructions contains valuable information for a successfull healing to take place. (The chapter Body Awareness is especially important.)

The harmonics of singing bowls
Singing bowls have been used to induce states of alerted tranquillity. They can be used to amplify the body's own healing powers or for deep meditation. They have been in use since the time of the historical Buddha Shakyamuni (560 - 489 B.C.)

These soundscapes are recorded on antique Tibetan bells. The sounds produced from the singing bowls have a unique transformational power

About the Tibetan bells
According to Tibetan oral tradition, the tradition of the singing bowls was brought from India to Tibet, along with the teachings of the Buddha, by the great tantric master Padmasambhava in the 8th century A.D.

A metallurgical analysis, done by the British Museum in London, reveals that the instruments are made of a 12-metal alloy consisting of silver, nickel, copper, zinc, antimony, tin, lead, cobalt, bismuth, arsenic, cadmium and iron. Now a lost art, it appears that t his quality of bell bowl cannot be reproduced today.

Singing bowls are found on private Buddhist altars, and in temples, monasteries and meditation halls throughout the world.

The recording process of the bells
In the recording process the emphasis is put on the bells' unique ability to produce "unclean" sounds. The bells' inborn tendency to produce interferential, almost distorted soundscapes are perhaps their most important quality! This allows a release of the powerful energies from our subconscious mind.

These energies are normally dwelling in the deeper energy layers of the body. The beautiful unclean sounds of the bells make it possible for these archaic energy structures to enter the consciousness and thus be transformed into healing energy or energy used for meditation.
